In this detailed model, the lower jaw is opened to show the tooth roots,
vessels and nerves. Skull bones, bone components, fissures, foramina and
other structures are numbered. Skull sutures are drawn in color. Superficial
brain vessels and veins (sinus) are also shown in color.

The masticatory muscles (M. masseter, M. temporalis, M. pterygnideus medialis
and M. pterygnideus lateralis) are shown in the form of flexible bands.
The various functions of the musculature can be demonstrated: jaw closure,
initial jaw opening, lateral and forwared jaw movements.

Teeth in the upper and lower jaw can be extracted and replaced individually. The teeth are true to size and feature fully-formed roots. Hinged flap on the lower right jaw can be opened to expose tooth roots, cancellous, nerve canal and an impacted wisdom tooth.
